Plett – Take Your Breath Away Workshop – August 2012
It was wonderful creating with a talented group of artists. The four sessions gave us all a stretch and that just makes for better art.
Well done to Wendy Pretorius, Gill Dodington, Maureen De Beer, Dawn Pearce, Bob Forbes for their enthusiasm to push beyond SAFE.
The first lesson was about losing control and inspiration was taken from the recent storms in Plettenberg Bay. Huge trees were washed up in the lagoon and misplaced life was evident.

Walking through the debris, there was a sense of sadness in the destruction. And yet, in the midst of it all, such beauty to be admired. Beautiful patterns and forms, carried on the winds and sea, to be captured by my eye.

So to honor the beauty, our first lesson was to focus on trees.
