What is Healing Therapy?
Healing Therapy is the gentle art of using the hands to direct energy to help relieve pain, release blockages, promote relaxation and restore the natural balance and flow of energy within the system. This non-intrusive process makes use of visualizations, relaxation and affirmations to help you access your own healing potential and bring the mind, body and soul into alignment. When we find this inner state of awareness we are better able to manage our lives, regardless of the life situation.
How does it work?
Information is processed and stored in different areas of the brain and for this reason sometimes talk therapy alone does not enable us to access trauma or painful memories. This therapy helps to connect and bring about congruency in all our systems in a gentle way that diminishes the chances of re-traumatising the mind and body. When this happens, healing follows.
More about the workshop
The first class is scheduled to begin Wednesday April 6th, 2011. This will be the introductory class and it is important that all participants attend all classes as the learning will rely on the knowledge of the previous class. Please only book if you can make a commitment to all the workshops. Booking is essential as a limited number will be considered.

Bring to Each Session
Bring a portable therapy bed if you have access to one, or a mat, blanket, couple of cushions, white sheet. Bring drinking water.
Arrive fresh and comfortably dressed as we will be working with partners.
Bring a warm wrap for after the session or a jacket.
If you have a pendulum you can bring it along or beautiful, well balanced, wood-turned pendulums will be available for purchase at R200 each.
A hard cover A4 book for notes / inspiration and a pen.
We will share a snack at the end of each session.
Joy Truscott gained her Masters Degree in Social Work & Clinical Counselling and graduated from the University of Denver, Colorado, USA.
Certified Energy Healing Therapist studied the Art of Energy Healing in Colorado, USA, with Dr Middleton and Dr Pam Kircher, (author of the book – Love is the Link). The training programme was the brainchild of Suzanne Bolton RN, HN-BC Integrative Care Services TLC/SASS Mercy Regional Medical Center with trainer Gaella Ellan Rae MSW.
Joy has BA in teaching and has worked with families in crisis for many years Worked with the Durango Hospice Programme as a volunteer.
Joy is a water colourist and enjoys group teaching as well as art therapy work.

Connecting thought and emotions is the subtle act of awareness that allows us to find our way through the confusion, disappointment, and the overwhelm of our lives.
This workshop will give us a view of the workings of the brain and how we can regain control, or at least find inner peace in the process.Emotional Intelligence gives us the ability to view our reactions and the courage to change them when needed.We will be “drawing” on our emotions, (no artistic talent needed), and examining Boyatzi’s formula as a tool for changing thinking and patterns that no longer serve us.
Participants to please bring an A4 note book, pens and pencils
